In 1975 the bus named IEEE-488 was standardized. This standard formalized the mechanical, electrical and basic protocol parameters of GPIB.

In 1998 BLUELEC OY developed the own design for GPIB I/O controller for test and measurement industry. And that knowledge to control I/O devices for industrial environment we utilize today.
